The product or piece that emerges can end up very different than what I began with. Of course, I don't come up with pieces like Mona, there - but I think that the pieces that I make should say something or relate to someone. It's important to me to start a discussion or make someone laugh and think - otherwise, I don't consider it a successful piece. It's okay if that discussion happens away from me, but I love it when someone tells me about an experience they've had. I tell stories that I like in hopes of hearing more.
